Finished for another year

Another year comes to a close.

I look at you and think how amazing every student in our class is. Thank you for trying new things in our classroom, discussing your ideas, sharing your learning and for growing into an even more wonderful person! I am amazed by you. You have taught me as I have been teaching you. I have learnt more about you and it has been a wonderful year.

I hope that everyone has a happy and safe holidays and that you all keep blogging!!

Our Picnic Day

What an amazing year we have had in our class. We have had lots of new experiences in our classroom, seen new things, discussed lots of issues and ideas, found out about things we didn’t know before and grown together as a class. Congratulations on all your hard work, our Picnic Day was great!

Dream Jars

Reading about the BFG gave us an idea. We should make our own jar with a dream inside.

But how do you make a dream?

First you think of something magical…
Then you add a little bit of fun…
And maybe a sprinkle of crazy and impossible…

What great dream ideas did you have?
Which objects did you choose to show your dream?
How did you organise your jar?
Did you write your dream down?

Researching Space

Here is a great Space website. Look at the information. Watch the videos. Find some new facts. Write them in your Space booklet.
Remember only use words and sentences that you understand.

Make your own comic!

We have been practising our writing and how to make characters talk to each other. When 2 characters talk their words need to have speech marks. Speech marks tell us when someone is talking. Look at this sentence.
“Watch out!” yelled the lifeguard “I can see a shark fin!”
Can you see the speech marks?

In a comic we use speech bubbles to show when people are talking.
